Position: High School Science Teacher
Location: St. Peter’s School, Mansfield, OH, On-site
St. Peter’s School is seeking a High School Science Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science, a passion for teaching, and the ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment for our high school students.
Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the school’s curriculum and objectives – Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities – Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning – Assess student progress and provide timely feedback on their performance – Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child’s academic progress – Participate in school-wide events and initiatives, including faculty meetings, staff development, and student activities
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have a strong interest in educating young people. Prior experience teaching similarly aged students is preferred, but not required. Coaching will be provided to all new faculty. All candidates must either hold a current Ohio teaching license or have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a willingness to obtain the required teaching certification. They must also be able to pass FBI and BCI background checks and complete the Diocese of Toledo VIRTUS program.
