Date: May 14, 2025 Position Available: Graduate Admissions Counselor Position Reports to: Director of Admissions Department: Admissions Office FLSA Status: Exempt Schedule:  Full-time; Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; some evenings and weekends; travel required   Please apply online:  https://franciscan.edu/graduate-admissions-counselor/   POSITION SUMMARY The Graduate Admissions Counselor is responsible for recruitment and management of prospective students for certain graduate programs, both on ground and online, contributing significantly to meeting the overall enrollment goals set for each semester. The individual will work as part of a team to contact prospective students, welcome visitors, represent the University at conferences and events, collaborate with program faculty, and ultimately to build relationships with various constituencies, as they discern enrolling at Franciscan. The individual will be held accountable to key performance indicators to achieve weekly, monthly, and annual number goals.   PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Recruitment of students towards the overall graduate/online enrollment goal (calls, texts, emails, meetings).
  • Maintain regular and prompt communications (i.e., phone, email, text) with prospective leads. Promote submission of application and required materials, visitation to campus if applicable, completion of the financial aid process, course registration, etc.
  • Occasional external recruitment (both on and off campus) to represent Franciscan at conferences or other events we sponsor, or partner organizations.
  • Close collaboration with director of admissions and graduate program faculty to manage the applicant review process and enrollment goals.
  • Promote the Mission of Franciscan University by words and actions and accurately convey it to prospective students.

  • Slate or other CRM experience preferred (not required)
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience
  • Exceptional ability to learn and use basics of technological systems and software (i.e., Slate, Jenzabar, texting platform, Zoom webinars, etc.)

  Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Sales and/or customer service experience preferred

  • Must be flexible to occasionally work evening hours and weekend events
  • Must be able to lift and transport 25 lbs. (recruiting materials)
  • Must be able to regularly travel domestically by car or plane
