Position Summary: Our Lady of Grace Catholic School is seeking a licensed and mission-driven School Guidance Counselor to join our team for the 2025–2026 academic year. The ideal candidate is a dedicated professional with a passion for working with children in a Christ-centered environment and a commitment to supporting their academic, social-emotional, and spiritual development.


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach developmentally appropriate guidance lessons in Preschool through Grade 8, supporting academic, career, and social development

  • Promote student success through preventive services and responsive support for identified needs

  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support, coordinating with external professionals when appropriate

  • Implement a comprehensive school counseling program, including a monthly guidance newsletter, parent education, and an annual Middle School Career Day

  • Lead the implementation of Openlight Media’s Education in Virtue program to foster a school-wide culture of virtue

  • Maintain accurate records, ensure confidentiality, and uphold ethical counseling standards

  • Serve on the Faculty Leadership Team, including supporting meeting agendas and minutes

  • Contribute positively to the faith-filled culture of our school


 

Qualifications

  • Valid Professional School Counselor License, LPC, LMHC, or LCSW (required)

  • Experience working with children in a school setting

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities

  • Proficiency in planning and delivering engaging lessons using technology and cross-curricular strategies

  • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
