About Chesterton Academy of Northern Utah Chesterton Academy of Northern Utah (CANU) is a small pro-family high school that opened Fall 2023, located a few minutes north of Salt Lake City.  Chesterton Academy offers an integrated, rigorous curriculum centered on the Incarnation of Jesus Christ. Focusing on the classics, the school develops complete thinkers who learn to draw on faith and reason for the purpose of building a culture of life.  CANU is a charitable ministry, dedicated to raising up a new generation of joyful leaders and saints in Utah. Our Mission Inspired by Saint Pope John Paul II, we take as our motto Cultura Vitae, the culture of life. We make it our mission to prepare our students to triumph over the materialism and despair that pervade our culture and to accept our Lord's offer to have life and have it abundantly. Our classical curriculum combines a broad liberal arts education with a strong emphasis on the cultivation of Christian virtues and an appreciation of beauty.  Job Description For the 2025-2026 academic year, we are looking for teachers who embody these qualities:

• Strong work ethic and an enthusiastic, positive attitude with a startup mentality

CANU is seeking faculty who can teach some combination of Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Drama, and/or Debate. It is expected that candidates be practicing Roman Catholics and possess a willingness to adhere to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church and the mission of Chesterton Academy of Northern Utah as set forth by the Board of Directors. Full-time teachers are expected to attend daily Mass and part-time teachers are strongly encouraged. Attendance is required of all teachers for special Masses (first day of school, Mass of the Holy Spirit and Oath Taking, graduation, etc.). About Chesterton Schools Network Chesterton Academy of Northern Utah is a member of the Chesterton Schools Network (MN), which has approximately 60 schools in operation world-wide with more set to open in Fall 2025 and 2026.
