Job Responsibilities

The School Counselor will provide support and guidance to students to promote their academic, emotional, and social development. Key responsibilities include:
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students' personal and academic concerns.
  • Develop and implement programs to assist students in understanding and overcoming social or behavioral problems.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrative staff to create a supportive environment for student growth.
  • Facilitate workshops and presentations on topics such as stress management, career planning, and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions, assessments, and interventions.
  • Assist students in setting academic and personal goals and provide ongoing support to achieve them.
  • Monitor student progress and provide referrals to external resources when necessary.
  • Stay informed about relevant legal and ethical guidelines related to student counseling and education.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with students, parents, and faculty.
  • Ability to empathize with students and maintain confidentiality.
  • Basic understanding of child development and educational systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple responsibilities.
