Stella Maris College Preparatory School is an independent, faithful Catholic school 1- 12th grade, under the direction of the Disciples of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. We are currently seeking an Elementary Homeroom Teacher (5th grade) for the 2025-2026 school year and onwards. Essential Qualities:
  • Practicing Roman Catholic, in good standing
  • Vocation for teaching, caring deeply for students
  • Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills, self-starter, well-organized, team player
  • Flexibility in assessing educational needs and strategies and ability to adapt appropriately
  • Willingness to learn how to implement Stella Maris’ unique method and curriculum
Responsibilities/Capabilities:
  • Facilitate success and growth in students' academic and interpersonal skills through implementing Stella Maris method and curriculum
  • Support the Disciples of the hearts of Jesus and Mary and their mission of providing a faithful and well-rounded Catholic education
Degree/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment
  • Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred
  • Master's degree preferred
