- Develop, direct, promote, and evaluate Works of Mercy, Missions of Peace and SENT retreat outreach programs; discern ongoing viability of current programs and develop new outreach programs as appropriate.
- Develop student learning outcomes and outreach curriculum and materials; assess learning outcomes and overall program effectiveness.
- Recruit, select, train, and supervise student leaders, advisors, and chaplains for outreaches. Accompany and observe students on local, domestic, and international outreaches.
- Recruit, train, supervise, motivate, and evaluate a staff of 6-8 student employees and part-time pastoral assistants.
- Develop budgets and manage revenues and expenses associated with off-campus outreaches within allocated budget, and in accord with University policies.
- Identify and manage risks associated with off-campus, local, regional, national, and international outreach programs. Manage training and background checks as required.
- Develop and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with local, national, and international mission and outreach partners, with other University departments, and with individual faculty and staff.
- Other assigned duties that advance the goals of Franciscan University and the Office for Personal Vocation.
- Proficiency in Office 365 applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and Forms.
- Understanding of Catholic theology and teaching as it relates to the human person, evangelization, and spiritual formation; the ability to articulate these principles and translate them into general policies and particular decisions.

- Bachelor’s degree required; Masters degree in theology, business, educational administration, counseling, college student personnel, or other relevant field strongly preferred.
- 5 years experience in mission/ministry work, service learning, or community service preferably in a Catholic setting with young adults.
- 2-3 years of progressively responsible leadership and supervisory experience.
- Experience managing departmental and/or event budgets.
- Occasional evenings and weekends required.
- Domestic and international travel required.
