The Associate to the Director of Facilities and Grounds fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by assisting the administration in the maintenance, security, safety and custodial operations of the school. The position reports to and is evaluated by the Director of Facilities and Grounds.
Essential Job Functions
Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
Maintains the campus custodial operations
Follows routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to ensure a high standard of safety, cleanliness and efficiency of building operations and grounds
Ensures the school’s compliance with regulations and rules according to safety and equipment standards
Supports the Director of Facilities and Grounds, faculty and staff in creating a well-functioning working and learning environment
Responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness and safety of athletic facilities
Responsible for the routine inspection of machines, equipment and fixtures to ensure safe operation and efficiency
Assists in the set up and clean up for special events and meetings
Assists with the moving of furniture and equipment as directed by the Director of Facilities and Grounds
Assists in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of grounds, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lot, sports facilities and grounds
Makes minor to moderate building repairs as needed and reports major repair issues to the Director of Facilities and Grounds
Follows the assigned work schedule as outlined by the Director of Facilities and Grounds
Assists the Director of Facilities and Grounds with any other necessary jobs and duties as assigned
Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits
Maintains a work schedule that maximizes availability to the school, students and staff
Important Job Functions
Collaborates with others to enhance the work environment
Assists with the moving of furniture and equipment as directed by the Director of Facilities and Grounds
Conducts emergency clean ups and repairs as needed
Communicates maintenance and repair issues to the Director of Facilities and Grounds
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certification
High school diploma or equivalent
