St. Theresa Catholic School is accepting applications for the 2023-2024 School Year for a
Full-Time Third Grade Teacher.

Reports to: Principal
Responsibilities:
● Provide for the spiritual, moral, physical, emotional, and intellectual development of the
children of St. Theresa Catholic School (STCS).
● Help live, instill, and motivate the Virtues and Mission of STCS.
● Maintain professional, charitable, cooperative and respectful relationships with all
members of the STCS community.
● Serve as a homeroom teacher to include supervising during Mass and assemblies.
● Establish and maintain effective discipline.
● Be well-prepared for all assigned teaching duties.
● Carry out duties in a responsible manner regarding curriculum, co-curricular activities,
safety, and other assigned tasks.
● Use technology and incorporate it in teaching and related duties.
Qualifications:
● Be deeply committed to the development of the faith life of students and dedicated to the
ministry of Catholic Education.
● Have a Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education or equivalent
● Hold appropriate Virginia or VCEA Certification and complete a child protection seminar
(VIRTUS) prior to starting.
● Hold Basic Diocesan Religion Certification or be eligible to obtain this certification within
three years
