The Congregation of Holy Cross is a community of Catholic, apostolic priests and brothers called by Christ and founded by Blessed Basil Moreau. Holy Cross priests and brothers serve as educators in the faith with a preferential option for the poor. They make God known, loved, and served through ministries of education, parish, and mission in 16 countries around the globe.

The Office of Vocations promotes vocations to Holy Cross among Roman Catholic males between the ages of 16 and 35. The Vocations Office helps these men identify God’s call and assists them in determining if the call is to enter an environment of intentional vocation discernment as a collegian or postulant. The office then accompanies candidates through the application process.

As an Assistant Director of Vocations, you will collaborate in promoting vocations to the seminary formation programs of the Congregation of Holy Cross, particularly the postulancy. You demonstrate strong people skills by building rapport and relationships. You take the time to learn and understand the needs of the Vocation team, offering innovative solutions. You take a proactive approach in sharing your creative ideas and improvements with the team.

You organize and manage your time to best fit the needs of the department. As a self-starter, you provide consistent work, focusing heavily on recruitment and engagement strategies. You resolve minor issues yourself and reach out to the team when you need additional resources. You can be counted on to maintain a professional demeanor and to take initiative to present ideas to achieve the goals of the office. With efficiency and purpose, you remain calm under pressure when prioritizing multiple tasks. The team appreciates how you proactively communicate and offer a positive attitude. You find great satisfaction in helping to promote the mission of the Church and the Congregation and take pride in the quality of work you provide.
