St. Jerome Parish in Oconomowoc, WI is seeking a Director of Faith Formation to oversee the various facets of formation and catechesis in the parish.  Under the direction of the Pastor, the Director of Faith Formation oversees the development, organization, and administration of St. Jerome’s Faith Formation Program, including: Pre-K-6th, Middle School, High School, Confirmation, Adult Faith Formation, OCIA, and all sacramental preparation programs. The Director of Faith Formation supervises all part-time staff and volunteers in all areas of formation, and in the coordinating, recruiting, and facilitating of training and evaluation for volunteers/catechists in all Faith Formation programs. The Director of Faith Formation researches and selects appropriate materials and media for programs and processes, with the approval of the Pastor. They communicate with parishioners, parish staff, the Archdiocese, and keeps abreast of all pertinent topics and concerns regarding catechetical instruction and faith formation.

 

The Director of Faith Formation will be expected to work 40 hours or more per week including evenings and weekends.

The Missionary Guide is a person entering a formation program designed to lead them closer to God through their own encounter with beauty, people, and themselves on trips.

The Missionary Guide position at Creatio is responsible for leading and guiding pilgrimages in New Mexico, Spain, and backpacking trips in Colorado. Trips can range from 3 -14 days long, walking 5-20 miles every day, depending on the trip, while carry a 30 lb. A Missionary guide will receive outdoor and spiritual education to equip them to lead these trips, which includes giving talks to the group of participants.

A missionary guide is fundraised salary position. Each missionary receives training and accompaniment while fundraising.

The season begins in August with outdoor, spiritual, and fundraising training. They then enter the fundraising season ending in October and will begin prepping trips that will begin in March. While in this pre-trip season between November and March, the guides will have opportunities to be trained and gain experience in backpacking and spiritual conversation.

The MSA Coordinator manages the Ministry and Service Ambassador Program at Heritage. The MSA Coordinator will build a successful MSA program to support the mission and operations of Heritage and provide a formative, Catholic, work-based experience for young adults. The MSA Coordinator is responsible for recruiting potential MSAs by investing in and maintaining personal relationships and sourcing candidates through events, advertising campaigns, campus ministry/parish visits, and social media. The Coordinator will maintain and support the daily and weekly MSA schedule for their rhythm of prayer, ongoing formation, and community-building aspects.  The MSA Coordinator reports to the Chief Operations Officer and will work alongside the Heritage team to support hospitality work, project schedules, and accountability of MSAs. The MSA Coordinator commits to prayer and to continuing a personal ongoing relationship with the Lord in the midst of carrying out the responsibilities of their position.
