Date: March 25, 2025 Position Available: Marketing Videographer Position Reports to: Director, Digital Storytelling Department: Marketing and Communications FLSA Status: Exempt Schedule:  Full-time; Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; occasional evening/weekend/off-hours required   Please apply online:  https://franciscan.edu/marketing-videographer-2/   POSITION SUMMARY Franciscan University is seeking a Marketing Videographer who will create videos that promote and elevate the Franciscan University of Steubenville brand. This will be accomplished by creating on-brand short and long-form content that attracts students, conference participants, donors, and friends to greater engagement with the University.   PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create videos from brief through delivery that elevate Franciscan University of Steubenville’s brand.
  • Work in collaboration with other video team members to produce video marketing projects for a wide range of departments through on-site and in-studio productions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications team members to develop engaging content for various audiences including prospective students, conference attendees, benefactors, alumni, and friends.
  • Develop motion graphics for use in University video marketing efforts.

Additional duties, expectations and responsibilities may be added or changed as needed to meet the University's needs.   REQUIREMENTS Must believe, promote, and have a strong commitment to the mission of Franciscan University of Steubenville and possess the following:   Technical Skills:
  • Must have strong video editing skills and fluency in Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, and/or Avid Media Composer
  • Experience working with cinema cameras such as the Canon cinema line, the Sony FS and/or FX lines, or similar, and/or mirrorless cameras
  • Experience working with EditShare a plus
  • Must be able to operate all types of video equipment and understand all aspects of video production, including postproduction, motion graphics, and audio production
  • Competent writing and video producing skills
Non-Technical Skills & Competencies:
  • Must understand and support the mission of Franciscan University
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high quality of work output
  • The ability to work as a member of a team and the ability to work independently
  • Must provide excellent customer service to stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills and professionalism
    Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in media production, electronic media, film, TV, or related field
  • In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, have strong work history and extensive experience in the creative video production field
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in video production and marketing
  • Minimum 3 years editing in Resolve, Premiere, or Media Composer
  • Past careers could include Videographer, Video Producer, Video Editor, Creative Videographer
Workplace Factors
  • Ability to carry 30-40 pounds of video equipment necessary
  • Ability to sit or stand using a camera or in front of a workstation for long periods of time
  • Occasional evening/weekend/off-hours work required
  • Occasional travel required
