Bachelor's Degree
Mid Level (2-5 years)
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Associate degree with 12 hours in Early Childhood Education** from an accredited university or equivalent in a foreign country OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 12 credit hours in Early Childhood Education courses** from an accredited university or equivalent in a foreign country OR
- A valid, appropriate state certificate.
- Teachers of Religion must fulfill the 150-hour Minimum Requirements for Teachers of Religion/Theology
- As an integral part of the ministry for the Church, this position will support and uphold the philosophy of the Catholic ministry and the mission of the Diocese of Corpus Christi in both professional and personal life
- Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Continually grow in the ministry by participating in religious ceremonies, trainings sessions, and reflection activities as directed
- Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Knowledge of subjects taught, instructional methods and strategies, and curriculum differentiation.
- Knowledge of child development, learning, and behavior.
- Skill in using job-appropriate technology such as Google applications.
- Skill in critical thinking and planning.
- Skill in demonstrating professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits.
- Skill in collaborating with peers to enhance the work environment and support instructional planning.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding school matters.
- Ability to manage student behavior in a classroom setting.
- Ability to work well with others in the school community.
- Must have a valid Texas driver's license
- Must successfully complete a criminal history background check, motor vehicle record review, and drug screening
- Must complete Safe Environment training provided by the Office for Safe Environment and Child & Family Resources
- Must follow diocesan policies and procedures
