Position Overview

Catholic in Recovery is seeking a motivated and creative Marketing & Design Intern to join our team. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing, including graphic design, email marketing, social media, website content management, and copywriting. Please note you must have at least an intermediate level of graphic design experience. You will play a crucial role in supporting our marketing efforts to further our mission of helping others recover from addictions, compulsions, and unhealthy attachments as well as their loved ones and deepen their Catholic faith. This is a paid part-time internship position (5-10 hours per week) with an hourly rate of $15-$18 (rate based on past experience and skills). Key responsibilities include:
  • Graphic Design: Update print and digital materials using InDesign, Photoshop, and/or Premiere Pro.
  • Social Media: Collaborate on content planning and posting across our social media platforms.
  • Email Marketing: Assist in creating, scheduling, and analyzing email campaigns using Mailchimp.
  • Copywriting: Write and/or edit clear and engaging copy for emails, blog posts, social media, and other marketing collateral.
  • Website Management: Update and maintain content on our WordPress websites.
  • Brand Adherence: Ensure CIR brand integrity according to guidelines.
  • Other Duties: Support the marketing team with additional projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a marketing, communications, graphic design, and/or related program.
  • Required Skills:
    • Intermediate experience with Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Premiere Pro.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Attention to detail, strong time management skills, and commitment to producing quality work.
    • Curiosity and willingness to learn new skills.
    • Willingness to support and collaborate with CIR colleagues and community members.
