- In partnership with the Pastor, develop and lead a comprehensive family catechesis program for children in Grades 1–8 and their parents, grounded in the principle that parents are the primary educators of the faith.
- Coordinate sacramental preparation for Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation.
- Foster a parish culture of family engagement through events, seasonal activities, and faith-building opportunities that complement the formation program.
- Provide families with weekly resources and communications to support growth in discipleship, including liturgical living, prayer opportunities, and formation at home.
- Collaborate with parish staff to plan and promote parish-wide initiatives for family prayer, including but not limited to Family Rosary, Eucharistic Adoration, and other devotions.
- Recruit, train, and support catechists and volunteers with appropriate formation and resources.
- Design and implement a small group discipleship model for parishioners of all ages, with a focus on relational evangelization and spiritual growth.
- Develop and distribute promotional materials and personal invitations to encourage broad participation in small groups.
- Ensure adherence to Archdiocesan safe environment policies, including CORI background checks and Protecting God’s Children training.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings, ongoing professional development, and formation opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor.
- A practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with a strong personal commitment to the mission of evangelization and catechesis.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in theology, Religious Education, Pastoral Ministry, or a related field.
- At least 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in family faith formation or parish ministry.
- Strong understanding of Catholic teaching and the ability to communicate it clearly to children and adults.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clergy, staff, volunteers, and families.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with ParishSoft or other parish management software is a plus.
- Ability to lift to 35 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
