Job Title: Controller and HR Manager 

Position Overview: This position will oversee and manage all financial and human resource functions. This role is critical in ensuring the company’s financial health and legal integrity and fostering a productive workforce. This position will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

  • Financial Management: Manage finances, including cash flow, accounts receivable, payroll, and bill payments. Oversee commission payments and negotiate with vendors for better pricing.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Produce financial reports, perform analysis, and forecast to support decision-making. Implement cost control measures to enhance financial performance.
  • Legal Oversight: Regularly review contracts with vendors, service providers, and clients to ensure compliance with legal standards and secure favorable terms.
  • Human Resources Management: Handle HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management. Manage transitions for incoming and outgoing staff, ensure compliance with employment laws, and maintain necessary documentation (W4, 1099, employment agreements, etc.).
  • Benefits Management: Manage employee benefits including health sharing plans, disability, and life insurance. Explore and potentially develop retirement programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with company goals.
  • Compliance and Security: Enforce controls to protect financial and personal data. Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards.
  • Other tasks and duties as reasonably assigned. 

Key Performance Indicators:

  • The health of cash flow, the accuracy of financial forecasts and projections, timeliness and clarity of financial and HR reporting, and effectiveness of cost-saving measures and projects.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in financial management, legal compliance, and human resources.
  • Skills and expertise in financial forecasting, budget management, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
