Job Summary

As a member of Legatus’s marketing team, the Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for implementing digital efforts aimed at keeping Legatus membership informed, developing and implementing online marketing strategies, such as SEO, PPC, email, and social media campaigns, and managing and growing the digital presence of the organization in various platforms and regions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with Legatus’ objectives and brand vision.
  • Create and curate engaging content tailored to specific goals and target audiences.
  • Manage and optimize all social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and marketing team to produce high-quality, on-brand content, including graphics, videos, and other multimedia assets.
  • Post content consistently and frequently to maintain an active and engaged presence on all platforms
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across social media channels, fostering meaningful interactions with our audience.
  • Stay current on social media trends, tools, and best practices, incorporating new strategies and features into our social media efforts.
  • Analyze social media performance metrics, track KPIs, and provide regular reporting and insights to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to marketing and brand communication.
  • Manage and engage with our online community of members in our private member platform, Networks.
  • Work directly with the Director of Marketing to plan and implement email campaigns.
  • Build, design, and coordinate Legatus’ weekly emails to members

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in social media management, email marketing, or a related role
  • Passion for social media and a deep understanding of various social platforms, their features, and their audiences
  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and tools, including social media management platforms and analytics tools
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to create and deliver multiple projects with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, collaboration)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
