Director of Enrollment and Mission Communications

Position Overview: 

The Summit Academy seeks a creative, innovative, and motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our leadership team as the Director of Enrollment and Mission Communications. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in advancing our school to the next phase of growth and development. The ideal candidate will not only manage enrollment but will also serve as a champion of our mission, ensuring that our communications and outreach efforts authentically reflect the values and goals of our school community.

Head of School (Enrollment)

Director of Advancement (Mission Communications)

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategic Enrollment Planning

In collaboration with the administrative leadership team and the head of school, develop and implement a comprehensive Strategic Enrollment Plan, identifying target markets, developing messaging for prospective families, and creating strategies to increase applications and enrollment.

Admissions and Enrollment Management

• Present The Summit Academy to prospective students and parents through tours, interviews, admissions testing, and more.
• Oversee the admissions office, budget, and marketing materials.
• Continuously evaluate and refine all aspects of the admissions program to maintain a full enrollment of qualified students, including a targeted waitlist.
• Oversee re-enrollment of current students.

External Marketing

• Under the leadership of the Director of Advancement, this person will develop marketing strategies to build brand awareness and generate leads, utilizing print advertising, direct mail, and other media channels.
• Drive word-of-mouth marketing initiatives, including referral programs, storytelling, and ambassador programs.

Internal Marketing

• Develop and execute communication strategies to keep the internal school community informed and engaged.
• Foster a deep understanding of the school culture and its development within the current parents, students, faculty, and staff.
• Community, Alumni, and Public Relations
• Engage and manage a network of parents, alumni, and former parents to assist with admissions efforts.
• Lead efforts to increase the visibility and public perception of The Summit Academy, including press releases, website content, and media outreach.
• Represent the school at conferences and community gatherings.
• Identify emerging marketing strategies, evaluate their effectiveness, and report on outcomes.
• Develop creative strategies to stay connected with alumni, including digital communication and engagement.

• Commitment to The Summit Academy’s mission.
• Proven experience in marketing, enrollment management, or communications, preferably in an independent school setting.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to think strategically and act proactively to drive enrollment and marketing success.
