JOB DESCRIPTION:

St. Patrick Catholic School in Corpus Christi is seeking exceptional individuals for the following position: Music Teacher for elementary school students.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in music or related field from an accredited
• Teaching experience preferred, but not
• Experience with and familiarity of Catholic music the liturgy is

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Music Teacher plans, guides, and evaluates the learning process of students in music instruction, directs the student choir, and prepares/performs music for school liturgies. The music teacher will:

• Provide a grade-appropriate elementary instructional music education program of engaging and interactive activities/songs for various grade levels from 3-year-olds in pre-kindergarten up to 12-year olds in 6th
• Maintain high professional standards consistent with our school’s mission and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Assess and document student
• Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Submit to employment required screenings, criminal background, drug screening, and MVR
• Obtain certification in Safe Environment training provided by the Office of Safe Environment and Child and Family Resources
• Position requires adherence to diocesan policies and procedures
