We Are Looking For:
A highly motivated and experienced Executive Director of Development to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission by spearheading fundraising efforts, cultivating donor relationships, and securing essential financial support through major gifts, grants, and planned giving.

In this Role You Will:

  • Direct Strategic Fundraising:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead Major Gift Acquisitions:
    • Identify, Cultivate, Steward and Retain donors of capacity
    • Utilize CRM and prospecting tools
  • Lead Campaign Management:
    • Lead fundraising campaigns and initiatives
    • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create compelling fundraising materials across all channels and platforms
  • Lead Donor Engagement:
    • Build strategies for maintaining strong relationships with existing donors while identifying opportunities for donor stewardship.
    • Develop and execute strategies to expand the donor base and increase contributions.
  • Manage Grant Applications and Awards:
    • Manage the Research, writing, and submission of grant proposals to secure funding from foundations and philanthropic organizations.
    • Manage relationships with grantors and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Manage Event Planning:
    • Manage the planning and execution of virtual/live/hybrid events to engage donors and raise awareness about Newman Ministry.
    • Coordinate logistics, sponsorship, and participant involvement for events.
  • Manage Financial Analysis:
    • Monitor and analyze fundraising metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies.
    • Provide regular reports to the Chief Operations Officer and senior leadership.
  • Serve as a Member of the Leadership Team:
    • Collaborate and communicate with leaders across the organization to ensure mission success
    • Develop and maintain productive Board Relationships
    • Serve as voice of donors

What You Need to Get the Job Done:

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, plus relevant experience of 5-10 years
  • You are a self starter
  • You are a top-notch communicator able to engage across all platforms and settings, including: virtual or live large group presentations, one-on-one interactions, and in writing
  • You have strong project management skills
  • You like compiling detailed data into user friendly reports
  • You are comfortable working with CRMs and donor prospecting/research tools
  • You have experience working with senior level management and leadership

  • You have worked in the Catholic fundraising space
  • You are bilingual
