Qualifications:
Our Lady of Grace Catholic School is seeking a passionate and faithful middle school educator to teach Literature and Religion to students in grades 6–8. Founded in 1953, OLG is committed to honoring the dignity of each child, recognizing and growing their gifts to be intentional disciples and servant leaders.
To be successful in the role, candidates will
- Plan lessons for Middle School ELA Literature and Religion that meet standards and engage students, differentiating as needed.
- Coordinate Middle School Student Service Hours and Plan an Annual Retreat for each grade level (Grades 6, 7, & 8 - retreat outlines provided)
- Live out and model Catholic/Christian virtue, worship, beliefs, and lifestyle.
- Be optimistic, flexible, patient, and a team player.
- Display solid communication skills and have a positive rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
- Have a successful history of working with children, teachers and parents; experience working with students' special education needs is preferred.
- Promote our mission by contributing to committees, assisting with student activities, and performing other supporting duties.
- Have earned an appropriate undergraduate or graduate degree and NC Teacher certification. (If no NC certification, the candidate must meet diocesan standards for assignment.)
