Date: October 7, 2023 Position Available: Outreach Stewardship Coordinator Position Reports to: Director of Evangelization and Formation Department: Franciscan Center for Evangelization and Renewal (Conference Office) FLSA Status: Exempt Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; some evenings and weekends, particularly in summer during conference season Please apply online: POSITION SUMMARY The Outreach Stewardship Coordinator will develop, direct, and implement a comprehensive stewardship program that strengthens conference participants’ ties to Steubenville Conferences, the Center, and University, with the primary objective of retention. The Coordinator will produce, coordinate, and deliver content, materials, and other assets that communicate gratitude and a VIP experience that motivates continued and enhanced engagement. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Develop plan in conjunction with the Center’s marketing, engagement, and sales functions with an initial concentration on Steubenville Conferences. Coordinate all activities for systematic execution of stewardship role. 2. Identify and capture compelling stories that exemplify the experience had by participants and those of their children (parents of teens). 3. Procure and deliver content, including video, that results in a VIP experience for constituents. Develop additional ways to steward relationships through events, follow up to initiatives, or more personalized touches. 4. Promote in soft way other aspects of the University, identifying how the constituents are part of the broader University family; avail them to opportunities outside of the Center, i.e., Homecoming, Alumni events, etc. 5. Be on campus constant presence during conference season, actively engaging with constituents and assisting the Conference Team with hospitality and other functions. 6. Prepare informal and formal reports to donors at all levels, that illuminate the impact of their contributions using data, stories and other content, in a segmented or personalized way. 7. Assisting the Center administratively, principally the Vice President. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Additional duties, expectations and responsibilities may be added or changed as needed to meet the University’s needs. REQUIREMENTS Must understand, support and embrace the mission of Franciscan University of Steubenville and possess the following: Technical Skills 1. Competence in Microsoft Office Suite 2. Ability to work in data bases and other technologies, i.e., mass email and texts 3. Familiarity and skill with popular social media platforms 4. Graphic design and creative writing a plus Non-Technical Skills and Competencies • Creativity in developing persuasive content and targeting it to the appropriate audiences. • Customer Service Focus to meet expectations of internal and external customers and act with customers’ interest in mind. • Interpersonal Skills to relate to all people above, below and at a peer level, inside and outside of the organization. • Project Management to effectively identify and organize tasks, resources and timing needed to accomplish goals. • Teamwork to create and use opportunities to collaborate with others within and outside of his/her department or area. • Verbal and Written Communications to clearly express one’s views and thoughts to different listeners/audiences. Education & Experience • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a communications-related field, or relevant experience. • Minimum of three years of experience in executing a stewardship role, fund raising, marketing, alumni relations or customer service. Past experience of Steubenville conferences would be a plus.
