Graphic Designer

YOUR ROLE: The graphic designer will be responsible for design tasks from ideation to completion and can think critically throughout the creative process. The high workflow of projects must be completed quickly and without errors. This candidate will principally support and report to CatholicVote’s Senior Graphic Designer from January – April 2025, with the potential for a full-time offer after this period. The day-to-day workflow will be producing creative assets for our social media accounts, repurposing existing designs for alternative formats, and working on a variety of projects from multiple teams; design projects will include social media, video thumbnails, marketing email headers, ads used in the LOOP, and more. We are looking for a passionate creative designer with the ability to create digital and print pieces for a fast-growing company.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Work in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to create to create original designs within our existing brand
  • Design social media content for multiple platforms
  • Create video thumbnails for various shows
  • Submit designs to senior graphic designer for review, feedback, and approval
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to launch projects and campaigns

 

WHAT YOU NEED:

In addition to the above, the ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Passion for the mission of CatholicVote
  • At least one year of work experience as a graphic designer
  • Expertise in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat
  • Excellent eye for details, typography, colors, and visual hierarchy
  • Ability to jump between a variety of differing projects in subject, scope, and platforms
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to organize and prioritize high-volume workflows
  • Understanding of the Catholic faith for effective photo and art curation in designs
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Copywriting experience, specifically in advertisement and social media creatives is a plus
  • Available 15-30 hours per week
  • Available to work from January 2025 through April 2025 

 

PHYSICAL JOB CONDITIONS:

Work may be performed seated for long periods of time with close Macbook and keyboard work.
