High School History Teacher

Seeking a career at Saint Joseph Academy is not just any job at just any school. It is not your typical 9 to 5 job. Nor is it the typical Catholic school. Saint Joseph Academy is quite literally on the front lines of the battle for the eternal souls of our children. Parents choose us to educate their children and teens because we are the best at what we do: forming young men and women who-through their commitment to live by Catholic principles- will transform and advance human culture. That advancement is not toward nebulous vague social justice principles or toward comfort, money, or power. Our students go out into the world and seek to advance the culture around them toward virtue and heavenly beatitude.

We are a classical school that unapologetically integrates the intellectual and cultural traditions of the Catholic Church into everything we do and every class we teach. If that sounds like your personal mission in life, then we want to hear from you! St. Joseph Academy is an independent, classical, Catholic TK-12 school that teaches in accordance with the Magisterium. We are a member of NAPCIS (The National Association of Private Catholic and Independent Schools) and ICLE (Institution for Catholic Liberal Education). Our current enrollment is 365 students. We are seeking a high school history teacher for our 2024-2025 school year. Candidates must be loyal, practicing Catholics who are motivated, organized and possess a deep love for God, others and a passion for communicating that love. A genuine affection and deep knowledge of history rounds out the ideal candidate. Training and support is provided. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience. We are located in beautiful San Diego County, just 15 minutes from the ocean.
