Paraclete Academy proposes a new model for Catholic education: one that “unhooks” from the curricular and cultural restrictions of the college-preparatory model and that aims to provide a well-rounded education that renews the age-old tutor model, leverages existing digital technologies and platforms, and incorporates opportunities for internships and paid work. Teachers at Paraclete Academy look for opportunities to integrate the various disciplines and fields of knowledge through their lessons and assignments as they prayerfully cultivate both the intellect and character of their students.
We are currently looking for a teacher who can integrate History, Literature/Writing, and Theology in the spring and who can coordinate with the Math and Science teacher to find areas of overlap.
Hours negotiable: 10-20 hrs a week which could develop into a full-time position in the fall.
Experience: Preference will be given to teachers with more an 5 yrs of experience and advanced degrees, although a passion for integrated learning is the only requirement.
