Instructional Tech Support

JOB DISCRIPTION:
We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient individual to join our Blue Jay team as an hourly Instructional Tech Support. In this role, you will provide technical assistance and support to our educational staff and students to ensure smooth and effective utilization of our instructional technology platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS:
● Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
● Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with educational technology platforms and software.
● Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical users.
● Prior experience in a technical support role, particularly in an educational setting is preferred.
● Patient and customer-oriented attitude to provide exceptional support to instructors and students.
● Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

RESPONSIBILITES:
● Assist teachers, students, and staff in troubleshooting technical issues related to our educational technology systems.
● Provide timely and clear responses to tech support inquiries via email, phone, or in person.
● Collaborate with the IT team at the Diocese level to identify and resolve technical glitches or system errors.
● Conduct training sessions for faculty, staff, and students on the proper usage of instructional technology tools.
● Assist in the setup and maintenance of software applications, hardware devices, and other technology resources.
● Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in educational technology to provide innovative solutions.
● Have knowledge of Google Workspace.
● Have understanding of Identity Management Applications such as Clever
● Maintaining and upgrading hardware in consultation with the principal

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Valid Driver’s License
• Submit to employment required screenings, criminal background, and drug screening
• Obtain certification in Safe Environment training provided by the Office of Safe Environment and Child and Family Resources
• Position requires adherence to diocesan policies and procedures

Schedule: This is an hourly position, with flexible hours based on the needs of the educational institution.
