Role: Investment Analyst
Location: Hybrid (2-3 days in office, remainder remote)

Position Overview:
Goldfinch Capital Partners is seeking a motivated and talented Investment Analyst to join our team. As one of the first hires, the Investment Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting our investment activities and will report directly to the Chief Investment Officer with frequent access to the Chief Executive Officer, Investment Committee and Board of Directors. Key Responsibilities:
1. Administrative and Tax-Related Functions:
• Assist with administrative tasks related to clients’ trust and estate work.
• Support tax planning and compliance activities alongside third-party advisors.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all tax-related documentation and filings by third party advisors.
2. Hedge Fund Analysis and Trading:
• Serve as the analyst for Goldfinch’s hedge fund, Mamba Equities.
• Collaborate with third-party investment banking advisors to analyze market trends and subsets.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of single stocks and market conditions.
• Actively trade positions on behalf of clients, adhering to investment strategies and objectives at the request of the Chief Investment Officer.
3. Private Equity and Venture Capital Diligence:
• Assist in the due diligence process for private equity and venture capital firms in which Goldfinch invests through a fund of funds portfolio.
• Conduct interviews with fund managers and evaluate their strategies and performance.
• Research thematic areas and emerging trends in the private equity and venture capital landscape.
• Track and monitor portfolio companies, providing insights and recommendations.
4. Portfolio Company Support:
• Support Goldfinch’s portfolio companies in the pharmaceutical sector such as Nexus Pharmaceuticals.
• Collaborate with the team to analyze and evaluate new pharmaceutical assets.
• Assist in developing strategies to enhance the value and performance of portfolio companies and play a crucial role in any sale of Portfolio Companies that may occur.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 0-5 years of experience in professional services (Big 4 accounting, management consulting, investment banking).
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ability/ willingness to learn in depth financial modeling such as DCFs, LBOs, etc.
