SUMMARY
St. Ignatius Catholic School is looking for new members for its Advancement Team. This team works collaboratively with school administration to fundraise, market the school, and build strong internal communications. Faithful Catholics who are zealous about sharing our Catholic, classical school mission are encouraged to apply.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing, Communications, and Branding
Responsible for the development, production, review, tracking, and distribution of marketing and communications for the school, including but not limited to:
- Create, schedule, and manage content for digital/online platforms, including the school website, social media, email marketing, and third-party online sites
- Design, copyedit, proof, and distribute print materials, including marketing materials (donors, admissions, events, etc.), flyers, school-branded items, mail pieces, bulletin submissions, signage, etc.
- Develop, edit, and distribute weekly school e-newsletter, The Pilgrim, and other internal communications as needed
- Oversee maintenance of brand standards for school communications and marketing
- Manage proactive media relations, including sending press releases to media sources and obtaining media coverage of school events
- Maintain and update library of photos and other marketing portfolio items
- Design, maintain, and order promotional materials as needed
- Work with Administration, Leadership, staff, committees, parish, and other stakeholder groups to support school-related marketing and communications for each stakeholder group’s respective needs
Events
Collaborate to plan, execute, and review (non-fundraising) events–and/or support specific marketing and communications needs–for the school including but not limited to Catholic
Schools Week, Open Houses, concerts and drama performances, community outreach, etc.
DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Practicing Catholic with broad experience in the local Catholic community
- Joyful and happy disposition
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with various software and basic graphic design
- Associate degree or greater
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work is typically performed in an inside, temperature-controlled environment
- Continuously requires vision, hearing, communicating
- Frequently requires fine dexterity, periods of sitting, working at a computer
- Occasionally requires standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing, etc.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed
