Position: Middle School and High School Math & Science Teachers for the 2024-2025 school year
Locations: Dallas/Fort Worth/Irving/Arlington, San Antonio, Texas Phoenix, Arizona (multiple locations) Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Work Authorization – US work authorization is required, but we do accept OPT/CPT candidates.
Great Hearts: Great Hearts Academies is a growing network of 45 public, open-enrollment, tuition-free schools in San Antonio (TX), Dallas/Ft. Worth (TX), Phoenix (AZ), and Baton Rouge (LA). Requirements Certification is not required to teach at any of the Great Hearts Academies. Great Hearts teachers hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and demonstrate both a love for the breadth of the liberal arts, and a depth of knowledge in the subject area(s) they teach. All candidates must be able to demonstrate they are qualified to teach the subjects they are assigned. Mathematics at Great Hearts Our prep academies (grades 6-12) offer the following courses as part of our standard curriculum for students:
- Pre-Algebra
- Algebra I
- Algebra I/II
- Geometry
- Algebra II/Pre-Calculus
- Calculus I
- Calculus II
Science Curriculum at Great Hearts:
- Life Science, Earth Science, Physical Science, Physics (I – Mechanics and II – E&M), Chemistry and Biology
- Science courses are not taught with a utilitarian aim, but rather, primarily for the sake of the subjects themselves, as awe-inspiring, intellectually stimulating, and beautiful.
- Science courses are rigorous and content-rich, with a focus on laboratory and field experience
