What You’ll Do

Conduct in-person therapy sessions to:
improve self-image and body awareness; fine and gross motor skills; auditory perception
increase communication skills, use energy purposefully, interaction with peers and others, attending behavior, and independence and self-direction
prevent or reduce the likelihood of certain behaviors that interrupt or interfere with an individual’s daily life
enhance emotional expression and adjustment
stimulate creativity and imagination.
Provide services directly or may demonstrate techniques to other service personnel or family members.
Complete assessments, Treatment Plans, quarterly summaries and other documents and reports.
Engage as an active participant in the interdisciplinary team for the individuals you serve on your caseload.

Requirements:

Who We’re Looking For

Completed a degree program at an accredited school/university approved by the American Music Therapy Association.
Certified by the Certification Board of Music Therapists.
Experience with the developmental disabilities population is preferred.
Self-motivated and able to perform independently.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Have or be willing to obtain automobile insurance coverage to meet company requirements if necessary.
