This professional should be a caring, articulate, nurturing adult who can manage a PreK Classroom of 2-year-olds in a Catholic school setting. Expectations include effective classroom management and use of proper instructional materials and strategies while leading students to successful mastery of appropriate skills and concepts and a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate degree in early childhood education
• Teachers of Religion/Theology must fulfill the 150-hour Minimum requirements.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage student behavior and classroom environment for optimum learning
• Plan and prepare classroom instruction using a variety of strategies to meet the needs of the students
• Evaluate students learning and initiate student progress
• Exhibit knowledge of subject matter
• Utilize principles of motivation and reinforcement
• Demonstrate professional attitude and responsibilities
• Pursue spiritual, social, academic, and professional growth
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Valid Driver’s License
• Submit to employment required screening, criminal background and drug screening
• Complete certification in Safe Environment training provided by the Office of Safe Environment and Child and Family Resources
• Position requires adherence to all diocesan policies and procedures
