POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager for the School of Natural and Applied Sciences will provide project and administrative support for the SNAS, including the Dean and the faculty. Manage and coordinate internships with Career Services and the Alumni Office. Act as a liaison with admissions and marketing for the SNAS and provide updates to the SNAS website. Use data analytics to help assess programs and courses within the School. Provide support for the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the Franciscan Institute for Science and Health (FISH). Oversee SWOP workers who will manage daily operations of the administrative support office.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- In conjunction with the Dean and faculty, coordinate and manage internships within the school. Have regular meetings with the Career Services and Alumni office staff to identify, facilitate, evaluate, and manage new internship opportunities. Assist Career Services with planning and execution of Career Fairs, resume/e-portfolio workshops and mock interview events. Manage SNAS Job Board.
- Oversee and hire SWOP workers who will provide secretarial support for all faculty and staff located in Cosmas and Damian and Christ the Teacher Halls, including filing, typing, word processing, database management, photocopying, printing, making fliers, receiving messages, distributing mail as it’s delivered to the office, and other tasks as needed.
- Work with the School Dean and Chairs to analyze data and generate reports regarding program retention, student success, and student graduation plans. Assist Career Services with the annual New Alumni Survey. Assist the Engineering and Computing department with ABET accreditation data collection and reporting.
- Attend to fiscal needs of the SNAS; including purchasing supplies, completing requisitions and other forms for Business Services, submitting monthly purchasing card reports, assisting with faculty travel arrangements, and reconciling departmental and School budgets.
- Manage CODA room scheduling for faculty and staff and SNAS faculty calendars. Assist with event planning for School visit days, Baron Days, student workshops, club activities, guest speakers, student retreats, Homecoming, Advisory Board meetings, faculty/staff interviews and onboarding, etc. Take minutes at monthly School meetings. Manage event and content calendar, sending quarterly newsletters to all SNAS constituents.
- Coordinate with Admissions, Advising, and MarCom to ensure accurate information regarding School programs is communicated to prospective students through e-mail, phone calls, texts, campus visits, advising forms and on the website. Ensure all advising forms are up-to-date for students (current and prospective). Assist with circulation and tracking of School curriculum proposals.
- Provide support for the Institutional Review Board (IRB), the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), and the Franciscan Institute for Science and Health (FISH).

REQUIREMENTS
Must understand, support, and embrace the mission of Franciscan University of Steubenville and possess the following:
Technical Skills
- Strong writing skills with a preference for applicants who can draft effective proposals.
- Utilize software such as Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to update SNAS website a plus.
Non-Technical Skills & Competencies
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Communicates accurately and effectively particularly with constituents outside of the University.
- Ability to work independently to accomplish projects, handle confidential and sensitive material with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills, works well under pressure, provides professional customer service to all University constituents.
Education & Experience
- Minimum college graduate, BA or BS degree.
- Experience in customer service and event planning.
- Experience in adapting to new technology.
- Experience in writing/proofreading ability.
