Role and Responsibilities

As an SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  1. Strategy Development
    • Design and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to achieve client goals.
    • Perform thorough keyword research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities.
    • Analyze website performance and create actionable plans to optimize rankings and visibility.
  2. Execution and Technical Optimization
    • Conduct technical SEO audits to identify and fix issues (e.g., crawl errors, site speed, mobile usability).
    • Optimize website architecture, metadata, and internal linking structures.
    • Develop, manage, and implement strategies for on-page SEO, ensuring alignment with best practices and client objectives.
    • Design and implement strategic external link-building campaigns to boost domain authority and referral traffic.
  3. Content Collaboration
    • Work closely with copywriters to develop SEO-focused content strategies.
    • Review and provide feedback on content to ensure it meets optimization requirements and maintains high quality.
  4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting
    • Track, analyze, and report on website traffic, rankings, and performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, and others.
    • Communicate the value and impact of SEO strategies clearly to team members and clients.
  5. Team Support and Development
    • Collaborate with the Team Leader and other departments to align SEO efforts with broader marketing initiatives.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to ensure our SEO strategies remain effective.

Qualifications

  • An understanding that our identity is not found in work, but in the Father by whom we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in technical SEO, including crawling, indexing, structured data, and site speed optimization.
  • Proven experience with on-page SEO, keyword research, and competitive analysis.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, RankMath, Moz, and Screaming Frog.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex SEO concepts in a friendly and accessible manner.
  • Experience working with WordPress, Elementor, and basic HTML/CSS.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with creative teams, particularly copywriters.
  • A results-driven mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • Familiarity with local SEO, Google My Business management, and optimizing for location-based searches.
  • Experience developing content strategies and understanding of content marketing principles.
  • Strong command of grammar, spelling, and writing mechanics with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and error-free content.
  • A growth mindset, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement in skills and knowledge.
