Bishop Garriga Middle Preparatory School is seeking a full-time, 8th grade Language Arts Teacher. The desired applicant will be able to provide engaging instruction, possess a high level of content mastery, can collaborate well with colleagues, and can inspire students with a love for learning, literature, and reading.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum requirements include:
- A Bachelor’s degree in content area taught
- Bachelor’s degree with 18 credit hours in content area taught will be accepted
- Bachelor’s degree with completion of appropriate state certification exam will be accepted
- 12 Credit hours in education courses or a valid appropriate state certification
- Prior teaching experience preferred
Additional requirements:
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- Must submit to employment required screenings including a criminal history background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening
- Certification in Safe Environment training provided by the Office of Safe Environment and Child & Family Resources
- Position requires adherence to Diocesan policies and procedures
