Ruah Woods Psychological Services (RWPS) has one immediate opening and multiple possible
openings for later in 2024.
RWPS is the healing branch of Ruah Woods Institute, developer of the world’s first K-12 Theology of
the Body Curriculum. The mission of RWPS is to integrate the best of psychological science and the
truths of the Catholic faith to empower men and women to more fully embrace and live out their
vocation to love.
The immediate opening is for a full-time therapist based in our main office in the Western Hills area of
Cincinnati, OH. The therapist will enjoy office space on a beautiful, wooded property. They will have
access to the Blessed Sacrament and Mass onsite. They will work collaboratively with other Catholic
mental health professionals who are actively pursuing professional excellence and to increasingly infuse
their work with the truths of the Catholic faith. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with
training and experience. Ruah Woods offers a generous benefits package including relocation

The ideal candidate would have a passion for excellence in marital therapy, ideally using the
Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy model as well as an ability to work clinically with children and
families using relational, expressive, systemic, and/or depth-oriented approaches.
Additional characteristics and qualifications include:
• Graduate degree in mental health practice.
• Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Ohio to practice psychology or a related mental
health profession.
• Extensive knowledge of and formation in Catholic anthropology, morality, and spirituality.
• Proven clinical skills with a wide range of patient populations.
• Generally operates from a relational, depth-oriented approach to psychotherapy but is able to
integrate skills and interventions from a variety of models.
• Training, experience, and interest in (at least some of the following, the more the better):
o Marital therapy (Emotionally Focused Therapy preferred)
o Child & Family therapy (e.g., play therapy, attachment-focused therapy, etc. )
o Adult therapy for anxiety disorders
o Adult therapy for complex PTSD
o Adult therapy for behavioral addictions
• Life-long learner with a passion for professional development and increasing competence.
• Highly motivated self-starter who can cultivate and actively maintain a caseload entailing at
least 26 hours per week of direct clinical service.
• Strong commitment to practice according to current ethical and legal standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate as a team member.
